Alliance Arts has announced a change in plans for the demo of PUKEY GODDESS SHOT TRICK, which was originally scheduled for the Steam Next Fest starting October 19. Instead of a public release, the developer will now host a closed online trial for selected participants.
The game, developed by the team behind Yunyun Denpa Syndrome, is a Russian roulette-style drinking survival game. Players visit the hellish bar Pandemonium to compete against a yandere demon named Fam-Sur, choosing from shot glasses with varying alcohol levels to force her to vomit her soul.
The development team cited difficulties in managing public gameplay footage under their current operational structure. Furthermore, they expressed concerns that AI technology could be used to quickly replicate or imitate the game's content and expression based on the public demo, potentially leading to unauthorized clones appearing before the official December 8 release.
To maintain a testing opportunity, the team is moving to a closed environment. Interested players must join the official Discord server and apply via a form, with participants selected by lottery. Attendees must agree to specific rules regarding gameplay footage and are encouraged to provide feedback on the Discord server.
