Key information

Tango Gameworks' action-adventure title Ghostwire: Tokyo has officially joined the GOG Preservation Program. This initiative aims to ensure the game remains functional as operating systems evolve over time, with GOG committing to address future stability issues through patches.

The GOG release removes the requirement for Bethesda.NET integration, which previously provided extra content upon the initial launch. While the game once featured Denuvo, that implementation was removed shortly after its addition, meaning the title is already free of that specific software.

Regarding the game's quality, PC Gamer writer Imogen Mellor awarded it a score of 72. The title achieved popularity with over 6 million players, though it was overshadowed at its 2022 release by other titles like Elden Ring, Sifu, and Teardown.

Although Krafton recently acquired Tango Gameworks, Bethesda Softworks remains the publisher for this title. Players choosing to avoid Microsoft products should consider this ongoing association when deciding whether to purchase the game on the platform.
