Ghost of Yotei has reached 5.4 million copies sold on the PlayStation 5, with physical editions accounting for 36.8% of that total. While this unit count is lower than the figures achieved by Ghost of Tsushima during a comparable period in its lifecycle, the financial results remain strong.

Analyst Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics reports that Ghost of Yotei has generated 407 million dollars in revenue. In comparison, Ghost of Tsushima had generated 418 million dollars at the same point, representing a narrow 3% difference. Despite the lower volume of copies sold, Yotei has earned 26% more revenue per player.

This financial performance is attributed to Sony's pricing strategy. Ghost of Yotei launched at 70 euros with limited discounting, whereas Ghost of Tsushima debuted at 60 euros and saw its price drop to 45 dollars within three months. Additionally, the install base differs, as Yotei is a PS5 exclusive within a market of approximately 100 million consoles.

To sustain engagement, Sony released a Complete Edition featuring the Echoes of Sekigahara story and the Most Wanted mode. This content generated over 2 million dollars in revenue within two weeks, boosting daily active users from 150,000 to over 300,000.
