Key information
EA and Bit Reactor have released Patch 1.2 for Star Wars Zero Company, introducing significant gameplay settings that allow players to customize their campaign experience. This update follows the return of previously furloughed developers to the studio and provides a substantial reason for players to revisit the tactics game after its initial launch.
The update introduces various campaign modifiers that must be enabled before starting a new playthrough, as they cannot be adjusted mid-campaign. Key additions include "Instant Death" and "Two Strikes" rules, which increase the lethality of tactical missions. Players can also toggle settings like "No Perfect Shots," which caps hit chances at 99%, or disable health increases gained from Focus Points to heighten the overall difficulty.
Beyond campaign modifiers, Patch 1.2 implements balance changes to specific abilities and units. For instance, Cly's Combat Jump is now limited to one use per turn, and the Astromech's Self-Repair ability has been reduced to two uses per combat. The update also includes a wide array of bug fixes addressing issues ranging from cinematic glitches to tactical mission progression blockers.
Star Wars Zero Company Update 1.2 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Bit Reactor has indicated that it intends to explore additional configurations for campaign modifiers in future updates.
