Rockstar Games is set to launch Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, promising a highly dense and realistic open-world experience set in Vice City. Players will have the ability to explore the map using two protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

Unlike Grand Theft Auto V, where the three main characters could not interact outside of specific missions, the upcoming title allows for constant companionship. Development director Rob Nelson demonstrated that players can call the secondary protagonist to join them for various activities throughout the game world.

Gameplay demonstrations show the pair engaging in social interactions, such as holding hands, visiting gyms, or planning robberies together. These activities are integrated into the single-player experience, offering a new way to interact with the environment while accompanied by the other character.

Nelson described this as a completely new way to play the series. While the game remains a single-player experience rather than a multiplayer mode, the dynamic allows for emergent gameplay scenarios, including spontaneous conflicts with pedestrians and police pursuits.
