Key information
Analogue has announced the return of its retro gaming hardware with the introduction of the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+. These updated systems serve as successors to the original Super Nt and Mega Sg models, which were first released in 2017 and 2019.
Both consoles utilize FPGA technology to play original cartridges in high definition up to 1080p. New enhancements include USB-C power, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless controller support, and a hot-swapping feature that allows users to change cartridges without powering down the device.
The Super Nt+ supports over 2,200 SNES and Super Famicom titles, while the Mega Sg+ is compatible with more than 2,180 games across the Sega Genesis, Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, and SG1000 libraries. Each unit ships with two cartridge cleaners to maintain hardware longevity.
Pre-orders for both systems open Monday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. ET for $219.99 each. Shipping is scheduled for December. Note that controllers are sold separately, with 8BitDo options available for $29.99.
