The Esports Integrity Commission has upgraded the suspension of Counter-Strike 2 player Palkovics ‘2xplayN’ Tamás to a lifetime ban. This decision follows an initial three-year penalty that was originally scheduled to conclude in April 2029.

The commission’s ruling was prompted by social media posts published after the October 15 sanctions. These posts featured images of cash and included references to match manipulation, betting payouts, and a potential return to professional play.

ESIC noted that while the photographs do not definitively prove match-fixing, the conduct created an appearance of impropriety. Consequently, the commission removed a cooperation-based reduction that had previously shortened the player's initial sentence.

The lifetime ban prohibits 2xplayN from participating in ESIC-affiliated competitions in any capacity. Furthermore, the commission intends to refer the matter to Valve, government agencies, and law enforcement for potential additional action.
