Key information
The Tenth Mosaic, an art and culture event, took place on September 22 and 23, 2026, at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Iidabashi, Tokyo. The event framed games as the tenth art form, featuring exhibitions, talk sessions, game trials, and live music performances.
The event offered a unique atmosphere where games and art felt integrated into daily life. Attendees could explore various exhibits, including the Indie Legacy Showcase curated by Shuhei Yoshida, which highlighted over 15 Japanese indie titles from the past 20 years, such as Cave Story and 8th Exit. Additionally, the event featured rare hardware displays, including the Panasonic M2 and special edition consoles like the Game Boy Color ANA Edition.
The event included an homage exhibition for Kenji Eno’s Enemy Zero, marking its 30th anniversary. This display featured original design documents, posters, and a rare special box set. A live acoustic performance by Shono Isomura and Kumi Tanioka also took place, featuring music from Enemy Zero and Real Sound: Kaze no Regret.
Interactive experiences were central to the event, such as a Minecraft-based puzzle game that required participants to navigate both the virtual recreation of the venue and the physical building. This encouraged spontaneous collaboration between attendees, highlighting the event's focus on games as a natural part of life rather than just a special occasion.
