Intel appears to be developing a compact processor for its Arc G-series handheld hardware, as indicated by a recent update to the HWiNFO monitoring software. The tool now includes support for a component identified as Panther Lake-H 080.

According to information shared by leaker Jaykihn, the PTL-080 chip utilizes a 0+8+0+4 configuration. This architecture reportedly consists of eight E-cores and a four-core Xe3 graphics unit, omitting both P-cores and LPE cores entirely.

This design may supersede a previously rumored 4+0+4+4 layout that featured four P-cores and four LPE cores. Jaykihn suggests the newer 0+8+0+4 design could replace the earlier entry-level concept, though official confirmation from Intel remains pending.

Because Intel has not released official specifications, details regarding power limits, clock speeds, and pricing are currently unknown. Given the reduced four-core Xe3 GPU, analysts expect this hardware to target more affordable, lower-priced handheld devices compared to the more powerful Arc G3 series.
