Key information
CD Projekt Red has officially concluded the world-building phase for its new intellectual property, known as Project Hadar. The studio has now commenced work on transforming these conceptual foundations into a functional video game.
Deputy CEO Michał Nowakowski confirmed that the team has established a coherent vision for the world and its core elements. While development has begun, the project has not yet entered the formal pre-production stage.
The studio is expanding its dedicated team for the project, which consisted of over 30 individuals as of September, with plans to reach 50 developers by the end of the year. Job listings indicate that Project Hadar will be an immersive, open-world experience designed to deliver emotional impact.
The studio's current roadmap remains heavily focused on The Witcher franchise, including the upcoming release of The Witcher 4 in 2028 and a third expansion for The Witcher 3 titled Songs of the Past, slated for next year. Consequently, the specific timeline for the release of Project Hadar remains uncertain.
