Blizzard is implementing significant adjustments to racial abilities within the World of Warcraft: Forever beta. These changes arrive shortly before the testing phase concludes on October 21.
The developer has removed weapon-specific passive buffs that previously favored certain races. Historically, humans, dwarves, and orcs received bonuses for using swords, maces, axes, or guns, which improved their hit chance and damage output.
Under the new system, these bonuses no longer depend on specific weapon types. Orcs now receive a 1% critical strike chance increase, humans gain a 2% critical strike chance, and dwarves benefit from a 2% increase to critical damage and healing at all times.
Beyond weapon passives, Blizzard updated the tauren Plainsrunning ability and the dwarf Find Treasure ability, as previous iterations were considered lackluster by the community.
