Key information

On October 17, 2026, developer STUDIO909 launched a playable demo for its upcoming mystery adventure title, Quiet Express Room 909, on Steam. The full game is currently scheduled for release in 2027.

The game features a roguelike-inspired structure where players navigate a train across a seven-day journey. Upon reaching the end of the line, a derailment occurs, causing the protagonist to loop back to the start of the trip. Players must repeatedly traverse the train to uncover the cause of the accident and find ways to prevent the catastrophe.

Exploration involves choosing between three randomly selected train cars to progress toward the front. Players can use items to reroll options or add a fourth choice, while solving environmental puzzles like locked doors and hidden ceiling passages. Along the way, they interact with diverse passengers, including giants and homunculi, to learn their backstories.

The demo offers approximately 30 minutes of gameplay and includes multiple methods to avoid the final derailment. Alongside the demo, the developer has released a new trailer and opened an official Discord server to support the community as players investigate the mystery of the titular, non-existent Room 909.
