Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the final entry in the remake trilogy, is scheduled for release on April 8, 2027. During a 30-minute demo at BGS 2026, the game showcased significant additions to the series, including the introduction of playable characters Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine.
Vincent Valentine functions as a high-speed ranged attacker capable of transforming into Gallian Beast, effectively bridging long and short-range combat. Cid Highwind, representing the Dragoon class, offers agility and balanced melee capabilities, excelling in aggressive combat strategies through his spear-based attacks.
The game introduces a new mechanic called VISUs, which functions similarly to traditional Final Fantasy jobs. In the demo, equipping a Summoner VISU allowed for faster summoning of entities like Shiva, Titã, and Ifrit, bypassing the previous requirement of waiting for a full action bar.
Regarding technical performance, the reviewer noted that the game maintained 60 fps in performance mode. However, they observed a persistent blurry visual quality similar to issues found in Rebirth on the base PS5, expressing hope for improvements before the 2027 launch.
