Key information

Blizzard has officially extended the World of Warcraft Forever beta testing phase. Originally scheduled to conclude on October 20, the test period will now run until October 23 at 10am PT / 1pm ET.

Following the conclusion of the beta, players will be able to reserve names for three characters starting October 27. The full release of the game is currently slated for November 4, requiring an active subscription or a friend code for access.

The beta has seen significant engagement, with one million characters created since September. Developers expressed surprise at the high volume of participants testing this Classic+ game mode.

Gameplay remains faithful to early World of Warcraft, intentionally omitting modern features like shared tagging. While the experience includes specific additions like the 'Kyle's Gone Missing' quest, it has faced challenges including gold selling, strict naming enforcement, and player griefing.
