Glass Cannon Unplugged has officially revealed Diablo: Unbound, a cooperative dungeon crawler designed for one to four players. The studio, known for previous tabletop adaptations like Dying Light and Apex Legends, plans to bring the world of Sanctuary to the tabletop, allowing participants to select familiar classes such as the Barbarian or Rogue to battle iconic monsters and bosses.

The game utilizes a hex-grid map for combat encounters against hordes of enemies. Players manage their progression through a character system that features dedicated slots for armor, weapons, and gems. Abilities are managed via a deck-building mechanic, with skill cards featuring double-sided designs that allow for base and upgraded versions of powers.

Early previews suggest a focus on loot-hunting and character growth. While specific rules remain limited, the gameplay appears to draw inspiration from existing boss-battler titles, incorporating complex equipment management and tactical card usage to simulate the experience of leveling up a champion within the Diablo universe.

Attendees at the Spiel Essen convention in Germany can experience an early build of the title at the Glass Cannon Unplugged booth in Hall I. A crowdfunding campaign for the project is scheduled to launch in Q1 of 2027 on the Gamefound platform, where early followers may secure a Gamefound Exclusive Treasure Goblin Expansion.
