Key information
SteelSeries has unveiled the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro gaming mice, alongside Mini variants, scheduled for release on November 15. These peripherals are priced at $179.99 and aim to differentiate themselves through advanced connectivity and power management features.
The primary distinction between the models is their shape: the Sensei Pro utilizes a symmetrical design suitable for both left- and right-handed users, while the Rival Pro features an ergonomic layout specifically for right-handed gamers. Both models include six programmable buttons with optical switches rated for 100 million clicks and a TrueMove 42K Pro optical sensor.
A standout feature is the hot-swappable battery system, which provides up to 120 hours of usage per charge. The system includes a base station that charges a spare battery, ensuring continuous operation. Additionally, the mice utilize ultra wide band wireless connectivity to bypass 2.4GHz congestion, paired with an 8K polling rate to minimize lag.
The devices weigh as little as 49 grams and feature low-friction PTFE feet. According to IGN's Eric Song, these mice appear well-positioned to serve the high-end gaming market, offering extensive customization through the SteelSeries GG application.
