Nintendo has released two 30-second promotional videos for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, specifically targeting the Japanese market. These clips showcase fresh gameplay footage and highlight various elements of the upcoming title, which is scheduled for release on November 5 for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The trailers provide glimpses into key aspects of the adventure, including scenes featuring Ganondorf, dungeon combat, the Master Sword, and exploration across Hyrule. The footage also highlights new functions for the ocarina, alongside updated graphics, improved controls, a free camera, and a rearranged soundtrack.
Vandal reports positive initial impressions, praising the artistic direction, the updated soundtrack, and the refined control scheme. However, the publication notes that because the project is a faithful remake, it may face criticism for its adherence to the original design.
Beyond visual and mechanical updates, the remake introduces a Monster Coliseum. This area allows players to review information on defeated enemies and replay boss encounters. The feature expands upon the boss-rush concept seen in the Nintendo 3DS version by adding a dedicated space for collecting figures and learning about adversaries.
