505 Games and KUNOS Simulazioni announced that the PC racing simulation Assetto Corsa EVO will receive a major update, Version 0.10, on December 9. This update introduces a new open-world mode called Free Roam.
The Free Roam mode features a recreation of parts of the Eifel region in western Germany, home to the Nürburgring. Players can explore the Nordschleife circuit, surrounding villages, public roads, and off-road areas, with plans to expand the map in future updates.
The environment includes dynamic weather and a day-night cycle, alongside AI-controlled traffic. The mode supports multiplayer, allowing users to drive with others or participate in events like time attacks.
Assetto Corsa EVO, currently in Steam Early Access, simulates vehicle behavior including aerodynamics and electronic controls. An announcement trailer and an introductory video featuring racing driver Misha Charoudin were released to showcase the new content.
