Electronic Arts and Bit Reactor have released the 1.2 update for Star Wars: Zero Company, the turn-based tactical strategy game launched in August 2026. This patch introduces several improvements and new features to the title, which is set during the final stages of the Clone Wars.
The update adds Campaign Modifiers, which allow players to customize rules when starting a new campaign to increase the challenge. Key options include adjusting wound limits, such as enabling permanent death upon defeat, and introducing fixed or progressive risks of permanent death for Operators. Additionally, players can now restrict health progression or delay Cross Training for bonded pairs until they reach level 4.
Beyond these modifiers, the patch includes balance adjustments and improvements for weapons, crew, and facility upgrades. Players can now assign the Request Reinforcements action to a custom hotkey. The update also addresses numerous bugs affecting skills, customization, cinematics, and gameplay. Developers recommend that players experience the game with default rules and normal difficulty before utilizing the new modifiers.
Star Wars: Zero Company, developed by Bit Reactor with veterans of the XCOM series, is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Following its release, the studio has begun reincorporating employees as the game continues to see support.
