Developer Bulkhead has acknowledged significant missteps following the launch of Wardogs Season 2. CEO Joe Brammer admitted the team made mistakes regarding balance and progression, stating they are actively working to correct these issues during the game's early access period.

A primary concern involved Blue Team bonuses, which provided 5% cash and 2.5% XP boosts. Intended as a temporary experiment to address the team's reputation, the bonus instead incentivized dedicated players to join the side, causing a lopsided win rate. Bulkhead has since removed these incentives.

The developer also identified a Driver progression exploit that allowed users to level up rapidly by making quick trips to a nearby FOB. This enabled early access to powerful tanks, disrupting game balance. Bulkhead is implementing a fix and issuing 24-hour bans to fewer than a thousand players who abused the exploit.

Looking ahead, the mid-season update 0.25 will introduce 'limited mode servers.' These will restrict high-level gear, such as level-four armor and heavy vehicles, to preserve an early-to-midgame experience for players who prefer that style of play.
