Nintendo has released two new trailers for the upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The footage highlights various gameplay elements, including a brief appearance by the recurring antagonist Dark Link, who is seen engaging the protagonist.
The promotional videos showcase diverse environments and activities, such as Link navigating a pirate ship, exploring Hyrule, and battling enemies within dungeons. Additionally, one trailer features a scene of Ganon playing the piano, while another Japanese-focused video emphasizes the Master Sword and the titular ocarina.
Polygon's Michael McWhertor provided a positive assessment following a 30-minute hands-on session. He described the title as graphically impressive and noted that it feels snappy, polished, and streamlined, successfully balancing nostalgia with modern design sensibilities.
The remake is scheduled for release on Nov. 5 for the Nintendo Switch 2. It faces significant expectations from both long-time fans of the 1998 original and newer players accustomed to contemporary entries in the series.
