Key information

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Resonant has surpassed 1 million copies sold. This milestone was reached in less than one month following the action RPG's launch on Sept. 24.

The narrative follows Dylan Faden as he navigates a distorted New York City. Operating under the Federal Bureau of Control, he searches for his missing sister, Jesse, who served as the lead character in the 2019 predecessor.

The title achieved this sales figure significantly faster than Alan Wake 2, which required approximately two months to reach the same milestone in 2023. Remedy hopes this rapid performance will contribute to the company's stable growth.

While the studio canceled its project codenamed Kestrel in 2024, it remains busy collaborating with Rockstar Games on remakes of the initial Max Payne entries. Future support for Control Resonant is possible, as the game contains unresolved plot threads and an Easter egg suggesting a potential Alan Wake 3.
