Key information

Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that Control Resonant has surpassed one million copies sold. This milestone was achieved within the first three weeks of its release on September 24, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms.

The title is now the fastest-selling game in the studio's history, reaching this sales figure more quickly than both Control and Alan Wake 2. CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon described the launch as a very strong start, noting that the game successfully connected with long-time fans while attracting a significant number of new players during a highly competitive season.

In a review, the game was described as a transgressive and captivating experience typical of Remedy. However, the assessment noted that the action RPG systems do not always function effectively, resulting in a mix of memorable moments and heavy, cumbersome situations.

As an autopublished title, Control Resonant represents a significant step for the studio. Looking forward, Remedy plans to continue expanding both the Control and Alan Wake franchises, with the studio confirming that further sequels are expected in the future.
