Publisher Alliance Arts announced that the yandere-themed demon drinking game Pukey Goddess Shot Trick will no longer offer a public demo during the Steam Next Fest scheduled for October 19. Instead, the developer is shifting to a closed online playtest requiring a lottery-based application process.
The game features a Russian roulette-style drinking contest against the alcohol demon Fam-Sur within the Pandemonium bar. Players must navigate intoxication mechanics to survive, with the goal of getting the demon drunk enough to surrender her soul. The title is produced by WHO YOU, with game design by Masaaki Tokuoka and music by Aiobahn.
Producer WHO YOU cited concerns regarding AI-driven game cloning as the primary reason for this change. The team fears that a public demo could be reverse-engineered or replicated by AI tools before the official release. Additionally, the developer noted limited operational resources to manage a public demo effectively.
Interested players can apply for the closed playtest via the official Discord server or a designated QQ form for players in mainland China. The game is currently slated for a full release on December 8.
