Leaked die images from the Moore's Law Is Dead YouTube channel provide a look at Intel's upcoming Nova Lake mobile processor lineup. The high-performance Nova Lake-HX model utilizes a complex multi-die design totaling 360 mm² across a 12x30 mm footprint.
The HX variant features an 8+16+4 core layout, combining 8 P-Cores, 16 E-Cores, and 4 LPE-Cores. This architecture incorporates a 104 mm² compute tile manufactured on the TSMC N2P node, alongside various Intel-produced tiles, including a 26 mm² graphics tile and a 72 mm² central hub.
The smaller Nova Lake-H variant measures 12x23 mm with a 276 mm² total area. It scales down to a 4+8+4 core configuration, utilizing a 55 mm² compute tile on the TSMC N2P node while retaining the same peripheral and hub components as the HX version.
Speculation suggests Intel may apply the Core Ultra 4000 naming scheme to these HX processors, potentially aligning them with desktop Nova Lake-S silicon. Meanwhile, H-series chips might continue using the three-digit naming convention established in previous generations.
