On October 16, 2026, publisher Alliance Arts announced the cancellation of the public demo for the upcoming PC game Pukey Goddess Shot Trick. Originally scheduled for release on October 19, the demo will now be replaced by a closed, invitation-only playtest.
Pukey Goddess Shot Trick is a Russian roulette-style drinking game where players face a demon named Fam Soeur at a hellish bar called Pandemonium. Players must consume shots to intoxicate the demon and force her to reveal her secrets. The game features mechanics involving intoxication-based rule deviations and includes over seven distinct endings.
The decision to restrict access stems from concerns regarding the current management team's ability to oversee public streaming restrictions and the risk of AI-driven imitation of the game's content. Producer Fuyuki Hayashi noted that these modern development risks necessitated the shift to a closed format, which will be managed via the official Discord server.
The full game is currently scheduled for release on Steam on December 8, 2026, with a price of 666 yen. Interested participants can apply for the closed playtest through a form available on the game's official Discord channel.
