Key information
Remedy Entertainment announced that Control Resonant has surpassed 1 million copies sold. This milestone was reached approximately three weeks following its launch, marking the title as the fastest-selling game in the studio's 31-year history.
CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon described the performance as a very strong start for the company's first self-published release of this scale. He noted that the game successfully reached both existing fans and new players during a highly competitive release window.
While the game achieved this record faster than Alan Wake 2, which took two months to reach the same milestone, it is currently the lowest-rated of the three titles. Reviewer Alexis Ongn awarded it three stars, criticizing the game for attempting to mimic live-service mechanics while struggling to replicate the deliberate storytelling structure of the original Control.
Despite the mixed reception, Remedy intends to continue supporting and expanding its established franchises. The studio remains focused on growing the worlds of both Control and Alan Wake, with Gaudechon confirming that there is more content planned for these series.
