Developer EXLIX has launched a free demo for its upcoming title, Orion's Blue, on Steam. The trial version offers approximately four hours of gameplay, covering ten days of in-game time. The project was recently selected for the INDIE Waves segment of the INDIE Live Expo scheduled for December 1, 2026.
The game is set on an alien planet where players catch fish to sell for profit or dismantle them into resources. These materials are used to craft furniture and decorate the player's ship and living space. Players can explore various regions, each featuring unique fish species to collect for their encyclopedia.
Social interaction is a key component, with 14 residents inhabiting the planet. Players can engage in daily events and stories with these characters, with 10 of them available as potential romantic partners. The game features a flexible fishing system that allows for manual casting or an idle mode for passive play. The soundtrack includes ambient, acoustic guitar, tropical, and bossa nova styles.
Orion's Blue will participate in the Steam Next Fest from October 19 to October 26, 2026. The game is developed by a four-person team and will support 14 languages at launch, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. It is exclusive to PC via Steam.
