DeNA announced upcoming updates for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket on October 16, 2026. A new series is scheduled to launch at the end of October 2026, focusing on making both collection and battle experiences more accessible and enjoyable.
To address feedback regarding the difficulty of collecting cards, the expansion pack release cycle will shift from approximately 4 weeks to about 6 weeks. This adjustment aims to provide a more manageable pace for players to complete their collections.
The update introduces new content, including special packs featuring starter Pokémon from nine regions, accessible via a weekly recharging power. Additionally, players can earn promo cards through three consecutive weeks of event missions. Battle features are also expanding with a new deck-copying function, unlimited rental deck usage, and restricted-rule battle events.
Further improvements include enhanced trade functionality, allowing players to view unregistered cards and identify desired cards through the sharing feature. DeNA plans to continue adding features and gameplay elements alongside future expansion releases.
