Digital Extremes has officially launched Operation: Tauro, a large-scale community event available to all Warframe players across every platform. Announced on November 16, this initiative serves as a narrative prologue preparing the player base for the upcoming expansion, Warframe: Tau, scheduled for release later this year.
The event centers on two primary components: a global community goal and a new prologue quest. Players must collectively gather a new resource called 'Vol肉' from Eris or specific alert missions to deliver to Pragas. By contributing, the community unlocks various rewards, including the Contagorus Armor Set, Basis Amp weapon skin, Kadathi Sundali ship decoration, and the Dampyr Syandana.
For those who have completed the 'Old Peace' and 'Hex' quests, the 'Prelude to Tauro' quest is now available. This unique experience allows players to control Lotus directly to explore her memories. Additionally, the experimental six-player cooperative mode 'Icebound' invites squads to coordinate strategies across four stages to earn rewards from Cephalon Melica’s Glacial Laboratory.
Community Director Megan Everett emphasized that this event represents a pivotal moment in the game's history. Players can track global progress via an in-game indicator until the event concludes on November 18. The 'Prelude to Tauro' quest will remain permanently accessible in the Codex regardless of when it is unlocked during the event period.
