LINE Games announced that its self-developed survival action title, Ember and Blade, will launch into early access on January 8, 2027. The release follows two years of development and optimization based on player feedback gathered since the game's initial 2024 reveal.
The game blends Soulslike mechanics with survival elements, featuring a demon hunter who gains immortality after striking a deal with an angel. Players must fight to prevent the resurrection of a great demon, utilizing a high-freedom growth system and a distinct low-saturation art style to facilitate strategic combat.
Ember and Blade has garnered significant attention, previously topping charts during the 2025 Steam Next Fest and reaching the number one spot for demos on the Epic Games Store in October 2025. The title was also recognized as one of the most anticipated games of 2026 by the Epic Games Store.
Developers are currently refining the game, including a recent Demo 2.0 that restructured the core combat framework. While the early access launch is limited to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, the publisher plans to expand to PlayStation and Xbox consoles in the future.
