Nvidia has officially unveiled a new configuration option for its Frame Generation technology, designated as Preset C, specifically designed for Performance Mode.
The company reports that this update enables 35% faster processing on GeForce RTX 5060 hardware. By reducing the overhead necessary for frame generation, the preset improves speed, though Nvidia acknowledges that users may notice slight decreases in overall image quality.
To access this feature, owners of GeForce RTX 40 and RTX 50 Series cards must utilize the latest beta version of the Nvidia app. Within the Graphics menu, users can navigate to Program Settings and Driver Settings to select Model C under the DLSS Override – Model Presets section.
External developers have also expanded the reach of this technology. The Universal MFG Unlocker v1.5.0 now allows RTX 30 and RTX 40 Series users to access Preset C and adds support for XeSS Multi Frame Generation via GitHub.
Additionally, Nvidia confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will receive support for DLSS 5, with the update slated for release on November 5.
