German brand CHERRY is introducing its flagship PIXIU 99 tri-mode mechanical keyboard to the Taiwan market this month. This new model features the industry-first DSS dual suspension shock absorption system and the third-generation MX ILLUMA switches, aiming to provide high-end users with enhanced stability and tactile feedback.
The keyboard utilizes an open internal structure featuring CNC-machined aluminum alloy components with an anodized finish. Its DSS technology incorporates eight independent suspension units, which the manufacturer claims filters nearly 80% of key wobble while maintaining a soft, responsive typing feel.
Performance-focused features include an 8KHz polling rate and full-key hot-swappability. Users can customize their experience via a swappable module in the top right corner, allowing for a choice between a knob with an LCD screen or standard physical keys. Additionally, the device includes eight built-in typing sound effects configurable through proprietary software.
To celebrate the launch, CHERRY is hosting a promotional event titled "Trick or Treat with CHERRY" from October 9 to October 31, coinciding with the upcoming Halloween season.
