On October 16, 2026, Cygames launched a Steam demo for Houraku no Kuni, the inaugural title under its CygamesEdge brand. The full game is scheduled for release on November 5 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
The game is an action-adventure set in a world where civilization exists atop a world tree. Players follow the journey of a man who has lost everything and a character known as the "cursed child" as they cooperate to reach the surface.
Gameplay centers on a unique descending mechanic where players navigate unstable platforms. Key abilities include the "flower dive," which allows players to throw flower buds to create safe landing spots while exploring the environment.
The demo excludes story content, instead providing immediate access to various actions to emphasize the game's high-difficulty challenges. Cygames notes that the demo offers approximately 15 to 30 minutes of gameplay.
