On October 15, illustrator and VTuber Noranuko released a browser-based game titled Shinsashitsu, which centers on the difficult process of reviewing euthanasia applications.

In this title, players assume the role of a physician tasked with evaluating 10 distinct patients. Each individual presents unique backgrounds and reasons for seeking euthanasia, ranging from terminal cancer or loss of motor function to those requesting the procedure without a specific stated cause.

After hearing all testimonies, players must choose to either approve or deny each request. Upon completion, the game provides a diagnostic analysis, categorizing the player's decision-making style into types such as cautious reviewer or support seeker.

Social media users have reported feeling conflicted and burdened by the weight of these life-and-death decisions. The developer clarifies that the game is entirely fictional and does not reflect real-world medical practices, while also welcoming streaming and video content creation.
