Remedy Entertainment has achieved a significant milestone with the release of Control Resonant, which has sold one million copies. This title represents the Finnish studio's first attempt at self-publishing, allowing the company to maximize its profits from the project.

The game introduces a shift in gameplay focus as the studio's first melee-oriented action title. Notably, the project succeeded without the direct involvement of Sam Lake, who is currently dedicated to other development efforts within the company.

Reaching the one-million-unit mark in three weeks, Control Resonant stands as the strongest launch in Remedy's history. CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon noted that the game is successfully attracting both returning fans and new players, outperforming the sales velocity of Alan Wake 2, which required three months to reach 1.3 million units.

Looking ahead, Remedy is prioritizing post-launch support for Control Resonant while continuing work on the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes for Rockstar. The studio also confirmed that a third, currently unannounced title has entered early production.
