Wolf Smoke Animation Studio and publisher 2P Games have released a playable demo for the adventure puzzle RPG Mist Hidden on Steam. The title is also scheduled to participate in the upcoming Steam October Next Fest.
The narrative follows a protagonist who enters a mysterious town to find a cure for their sister, who fell into a coma after inhaling lethal toxic fog. As an apprentice to a local physician, the player gathers insects, herbs, and minerals to create medical remedies while uncovering deeper secrets regarding the sister's condition and the town's history.
Gameplay features interaction with over 120 characters and a branching narrative spanning 20 side quests. Players navigate complex social dynamics, including ethnic tensions between town residents and outsiders, as well as personal family struggles. Choices made during these encounters carry significant consequences, as the protagonist's actions may irreversibly impact the fates of both the sister and the town.
The production includes voice acting from over 30 professional actors via the Ling Sheng studio. Wolf Smoke Animation provides a distinct, hand-drawn art style characterized by heavy colors and sharp lines, intended to enhance the atmospheric storytelling within the remote, fog-covered setting.
