To mark the 10th anniversary of Mafia 3, 2K announced on the 16th that it has released Mafia 3: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The company also implemented performance improvements for the Steam version of the title.
The new console versions now support 60 FPS gameplay. 2K stated that these editions feature enhanced stability, improved graphics, and refined user interfaces. Additionally, the tracking for trophies and achievements has been updated to ensure more accurate progress recording for players.
The Steam update focuses on optimizing overall gameplay, including adjustments to NPC behavior and mission progression. Graphical settings and the user interface were also polished to provide a smoother experience for both new and returning players following Lincoln Clay's journey in 1968 New Bordeaux.
Owners of the original PS4 physical or digital versions and Xbox One digital copies are eligible for a free upgrade to the respective current-gen digital editions. The Definitive Edition includes the base game, all story DLC, and bonus packs, and is also available as part of the Mafia: Omerta Collection.
