Blizzard has announced a limited-time server stress test for World of Warcraft: Eternity to prepare for the game's upcoming launch. This event, scheduled to begin on October 20, is open to all players without requiring an active subscription, game time, invitations, or prior Beta access.
The primary goal of this session is to evaluate server capacity. Participants can access the test by selecting the World of Warcraft: Eternity stress test version within the Battle.net launcher, installing the client, and creating new characters on the available test servers.
Following the conclusion of the stress test, all character data, including names and guild information, will be wiped from the servers. This process is intended to facilitate the name reservation period, which is set to commence on October 28.
During this period, the ongoing Beta test will be taken offline to accommodate the stress test. The final full day for the current Beta version is scheduled for October 22, with the service expected to return after the stress test concludes.
