Key information

Netmarble has initiated the first Steam playtest for EVILBANE, an online cooperative action RPG developed by Netmarble Monster. The test, which began on October 15, allows players to engage in solo or four-player cooperative combat within a dark fantasy setting where humanity fights to reclaim territory from demons.

During the playtest, which runs until October 19, participants can experience 13 missions across three difficulty levels. Players can utilize six melee weapons, seven ranged weapons, and 18 distinct skills. Combat requires tactical positioning and weapon switching to overcome various missions and enemies.

Producer Henry outlined a vision where individual mission outcomes influence a larger war. Future updates aim to include a dynamic map system where player actions determine front-line progress and territory control. Failing to defend reclaimed land may result in losing specific regional benefits, such as access to unique merchants or Heavenstones.

The playtest supports Japanese, though all data will be reset upon conclusion. Interested users can request access via the Steam store page. While currently slated for PC, the title is also scheduled for release on Xbox Series X|S in 2027.
