Publisher Deck13 Spotlight has officially announced that the pixel art turn-based RPG Forge of the Fae is set to launch in March 2027. Developed by the studio Datadyne, the title draws inspiration from classic JRPGs of the nineties.
The gameplay features strategic turn-based combat enhanced by an Adrenaline system for added depth. Players can utilize the Arc Crystal mechanic to customize various spells and abilities. Outside of battle, the game emphasizes exploration, environmental puzzles, and hidden secrets designed to reward curious players.
Little is currently known about the developer Datadyne, which operates as a subdivision of the technology firm Kaiju. Because Kaiju specializes in artificial intelligence for financial products, it remains unclear if the game was created by an independent team or if the parent company is utilizing its predictive technologies.
Upon its release in March 2027, the game will be available on PC via Steam and GOG. Console support includes PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the Switch 2.
