The tactical shooter Squad is officially expanding to home consoles. The title is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2027.
Players can engage in large-scale 50v50 combat with full crossplay support across platforms. Users retain the option to disable cross-platform play to restrict matches to console participants only.
The console version introduces specific interface adjustments, including radial command menus and smart pings to facilitate coordination. The release will feature a selection of hand-picked maps and popular factions.
An initial PS5 Alpha Preview is scheduled to take place from October 16 through October 25. The gameplay experience emphasizes team roles, including logistics, vehicle operation, and infantry leadership.
