LEGO has officially launched its new building set modeled after the original PlayStation console. Provided by SIET, the kit consists of 1,911 pieces and is designed to be nearly a 1:1 scale replica of the iconic hardware, with packaging that pays homage to the original product box.

The set utilizes eco-friendly packaging and includes 14 bags of bricks for assembly. The instruction manual features a message from Ken Kutaragi, the father of the PlayStation, alongside introductions to the classic titles Gran Turismo and Ape Escape.

The finished model includes a functional spring-loaded DVD-ROM lid and a Power button that can be pressed, though it lacks electronic functionality. Inside the console, builders will find small dioramas representing Gran Turismo and Ape Escape, which can be pulled out from the sides for individual display, revealing the PlayStation logo at the base.

The included DualShock controller features a flexible cable that connects smoothly to the console. While the exterior successfully replicates the classic SONY logo and iconic button symbols, the controller buttons themselves are non-functional, and the shoulder buttons are only represented symbolically.
