Marvelous has unveiled Eternal Anima, a new turn-based RPG featuring a time-traveling narrative focused on restoring the present by altering the past. The story centers on the world of Urvis Ael, where continents have vanished and questioning the world's state is a capital offense.

The game utilizes an isometric perspective with 3D environments, drawing visual comparisons to recent SaGa titles. Exploration involves navigating flooded regions and solving environmental puzzles. Players can discover discarded memories of fallen soldiers to inherit new abilities, though the optional nature of these items remains uncertain.

Combat features a timeline system where the protagonist, Wade, can manipulate enemy attack orders. Players can stun foes by knocking them off the timeline or spend BP to execute Limit Break-style attacks. RPG Site noted that the combat feels deep and engaging even in early hours, bolstered by a flexible class system.

While the gameplay impressed the reviewer, the narrative segment experienced in the demo did not fully convince them, leaving the story's overall quality as an open question. Eternal Anima is scheduled to launch on March 7, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
