Ubisoft reportedly cancelled a project titled Assassin's Creed Destiny as part of a broader corporate restructuring. This title was intended to explore China during 205 BCE, specifically during the fall of the Qin Dynasty. The project was being developed in partnership with Tencent-owned studio TiMi before being scrapped following a 2025 prototype.

Leaked media from artist portfolios highlights the game's design, including detailed weaponry and a video sequence featuring a female protagonist. The gameplay was set to incorporate historical figures, such as the warlord Xiang Yu, who appeared in a palace-based boss encounter while hunting for a mysterious artifact.

The development of Destiny reflects Ubisoft's ongoing efforts to refine the franchise's core mechanics to appeal to both long-term fans and younger demographics. The inclusion of a female lead aligns with the studio's recent design choices seen in other upcoming entries like Hexe and Shadows.

Despite the cancellation of Destiny, Ubisoft continues to collaborate with Tencent on the mobile title Assassin's Creed Jade. Future interest in the Destiny concept may depend on the market performance of Jade, leaving the possibility that the project could be revisited later.
