On October 16, 2026,株式会社闇 released a browser-based trial version of Osechi Princess, a dating simulation game inspired by the Osechi series featured in horror author Uketsu's videos. The project brings to life a fictional game previously showcased in a 2023 video, allowing players to experience the romance firsthand.
The gameplay involves making binary choices that branch the narrative toward different endings. The scenarios are newly written by Uketsu, who noted that the game may reveal secrets and relationships between the characters. Players can input their own names to begin their romantic journey with the anthropomorphized Osechi dishes.
The trial version currently features three characters: the energetic Chorogi, the younger sister Konbu, and the haughty Kamaboko. While the full version includes six characters, the trial is limited to these three. The game is exclusively playable on smartphones, with Google Chrome and Safari recommended for optimal performance.
The full version of Osechi Princess will be accessible for free via a code provided on a special map distributed to all attendees of the upcoming exhibition, 雨穴の変な世界展。, which begins on October 23, 2026. The trial version is available online now for free, though users are responsible for any applicable packet communication charges.
