Qookka Games is set to release Sangokushi Senkiban, a free-to-play strategy title for iOS and Android. Licensed by Koei Tecmo Games from Sangokushi 14, the game blends tactical SRPG battles with large-scale SLG territory management. Players act as warlords, developing their own domains while engaging in factional conflicts.
The gameplay features a seasonal structure where players manually command officers on a grid-based map. Success depends on unit positioning, troop compatibility, and the timing of special tactics. Outside of combat, players manage internal affairs and explore the map to gather resources and strengthen their armies for future conflicts.
The reviewer noted that while early stages focus on PvE, the game eventually forces players into intense GvG warfare. Although automated sieges allow for accessible participation, the reviewer found the sudden transition to player-versus-player combat challenging, emphasizing that the game's chaotic nature makes conflict unavoidable for all participants.
The title is currently accepting pre-registrations, offering rewards such as the officer Diaochan and up to 100 free recruitments.
