Publisher Graph and developer Jagex have unveiled a detailed roadmap for the open-world survival game RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Following the conclusion of the Kuldra’s Saga, which featured the dragon queen Kuldra as the final boss, the game will transition into the Blood Crystal Saga starting in 2027.
The expansion begins in December 2026 with the free update Luminance, introducing new elven-themed customization, equipment, and a ritual-based Prayer skill. Throughout 2027, the game will receive major content drops, including the Song of Rebellion update, which adds the Ailddinas region, the Hunter skill, and new trapping mechanics. The year concludes with Crown of Night, featuring legendary gear and large-scale conflicts.
Beyond these major additions, Jagex announced that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will receive free monthly updates starting in 2027. These updates will focus on new quests, activities, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements. Furthermore, the developers plan to implement cross-platform Mod support, allowing players to browse and install modifications directly within the game.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is currently available on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S, with inclusion in PS Plus and Game Pass catalogs. A 30% discount on the standard edition is available for two weeks on PC storefronts.
