Electronic Arts has initiated a new free trial for Battlefield 6, coinciding with the launch of its fifth season. This promotional period runs from October 15 to October 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Steam. Players can access all available maps and modes during this window, though continued access requires a purchase or an active subscription after the trial concludes.
Season 5 introduces a Las Vegas setting featuring two new maps: Area 51 and Strip of Las Vegas. The update adds four weapons, including the Mk 24 assault rifle and ELR-40 sniper rifle. Future content scheduled through December includes a Dead Space collaboration, the Casino Heist map, and the winter-themed White Card event.
While the trial is unavailable on Xbox, subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass can access the game without time limits. 3DJuegos notes that previous anniversary rewards were poorly received by the community due to perceived low value, though the game currently maintains over 50,000 concurrent users on Steam.
Beyond seasonal content, the update includes gameplay adjustments for vehicles and anti-aircraft systems, alongside stability improvements. A new Game of the Year Edition was also announced on October 13, bundling the base game with various cosmetic packs, battle pass tiers, and progression shortcuts.
