Arc System Works has officially announced the opening of a new development facility, ARC SYSTEM WORKS TOKYO STUDIO “TAKUMI,” located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The studio is scheduled to open on November 2, 2026.
The establishment of this studio is intended to bolster the company's overall development capabilities. A primary focus for the new team will be the creation of a new intellectual property fighting game, which was selected for the IP360 initiative promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
The IP360 program aims to increase overseas sales of Japanese content to 20 trillion yen by 2033. Arc System Works' project, which utilizes cell-look 3D animation, is part of this broader government effort to support the global expansion of domestic games, anime, manga, music, and live-action media.
Beyond game development, the company envisions the studio serving as a hub for international collaborations. To support these goals, Arc System Works is currently recruiting initial staff members, with further details available on their official recruitment page.
